George Douglas Richard Barringer September 1, 1944 - March 21, 2007 Few
people that we cross paths with touch us in such a profound way. For many
years George showed us how to face adversity with a positive attitude,
determination and a zest for life. He eliminated words like "impossible" and
"can't" from his vocabulary and taught all of us to do the same. His sense
of humour continued to amaze all that knew him. He was the beloved husband
and soulmate to Barb and an inspiration to his entire family. George's 38
year struggle with ALS ended on March 21, 2007. Strength was something that
we all learned from George - true strength that comes from courage,
attitude, outlook and humour - not body. Born and raised in Peterborough,
George made a life for himself on the west coast and took special joy in the
close relationships with his nieces and nephews. We will all miss the way we
laughed with him. A Memorial service will be held at STECKLEY-GOODERHAM
Funeral Home (201 Minet's Point Road at Yonge Street) Barrie at 11:00 am on
Saturday, March 24. A Memorial Service will also be held at Westdale United
Church, 1509 Sherbrooke Street, Peterborough at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March
27th, followed by interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens to be at rest with
family. The family encourages those wishing to send flowers to consider a
donation to ALS research as an alternative. Condolences may be forwarded to
the family through www.steckleygooderham.com

approached, Jessie loved traveling with Tommy to the 4 corners of the world
and through the years they enjoyed several cruise ship holidays. In between
their travels she expressed her creative talents by her prolific production
of both fabric and painted butterflies and dragonflies. Jessie's crafts were
often juried for the many craft fairs that she took part in and through her
"gift of the gab" she sold thousands which not only decorate homes around
the Vancouver area but also many were left at the places where she traveled.

2:00 PM in the Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby

unbelievable sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved
Graeme who went peacefully in his sleep. Graeme will forever be cherished by
his loving wife and best friend Shelley, his treasured son Scott (Danielle)

brother Bill (Caroline and children Christopher, Mark, Cam and Jillian),

completed his plumbing apprenticeship at Lornex Mines. They returned to New

Surrey in 1980. Graeme will always be remembered as a gentle giant. A smile
on his face, a twinkle in his eye and an inappropriate joke just waiting to
be told. He saw the good in everybody and would always befriend someone in
need. Graeme had a true fondness for life and you could see it in everything
he did. Graeme was well known and highly respected within the pool/spa
industry. His career started in 1980 at C-Blu where he became an equal
