ANDREEFF _ Paul (1929 - 2007) Paul passed away suddenly on the evening of
April 21, 2007 at home. He was born near Hines Creek, Alberta on September
13, 1929. He is predeceased by his sisters: Helen Weir of Edmonton, and Ada
Courchene of Dawson Creek; also his brother-in-law Joseph Rudnisky of
Abbotsford and his niece Patsy Ens Smith. Paul is survived by his loving
partner of twenty years, Dorothy Bursey; his sisters Elizabeth Haluck of

nieces and nephews. Paul was well known in the diamond drilling business. He
formed Rupert Drilling with his brother-in-law Joe Rudnisky and then went on
to form his own company, Argus Drilling. He was instrumental in the
discovery of Skyline Mines. Paul started going to Mexico in the late '50s'
and enjoyed his last visit this past winter. This was Paul's favorite poem.
Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind, who's breath gives life to
the world, hear me. I come to you as one of your many children. I am small.
I am weak. May I walk in beauty. May my eyes ever behold the red and purple
sunset, may my hands respect the things that you have made. And my ears
sharp to your voice. I need your strength and wisdom. Make me wise so that I
may know the things that you have taught your many children. The lessons you
have written on every leaf and rock. Make me strong. Not to be superior to
my brothers but to fight my greatest enemy...Myself. Make me ever ready to
come to you with straight eyes, so that when the sun fades as the fading sun
set, My spirit may come to you with straight eyes. There will be no funeral
at his request. Interment will be at a later date in Fairview, Alberta.

O'KEEFFE _ Walter Christopher November 18, 1930 - April 21, 2007 The
incredible spirit of Walter O'Keeffe has flown from this world to continue
his journey in the next. Walter has etched a lifetime of memories in the
hearts of his wife Monica, seven children Terri, Toni (Robert), Suzie (Don),
Jacquie (Frank), Jeanette (Jonas), Christopher (Stefanie) and Juliette (Ron)
and his grandchildren Ryan, Korey, Brendan, Shannon, Nikolas, Kristofer,
Bridgette, Nicky, Netty, Moira, Bronwyn, Gwyneth, Mairi, Heather and his
very special new grandson Finn O'Keeffe born March 15, 2007. Born in
Killkenny Ireland, Walter will be remembered for the brilliance that
resonated through the hundreds of carvings, poems and pieces of music he
created. Walter's love and respect for the natural world is a gift he has
left behind in the multitude of shrubs, flowers, plants, fruit trees and
vines he planted and tenderly cared for over many years. Walter moved to
Canada in 1956 and spent most of the subsequent years in B.C. Walter will be
remembered by those who knew and worked with him at the City of Burnaby and
the many friends and patrons who frequented the Chit-Chat Cafe Walter owned
and operated in White Rock during the '70's. Walter's was not an ordinary
life. His amazing journey was one of courage and survival. In the weeks
prior to his death Walter was thrilled and excited as "the buzz" surrounding
a new book based on his life began to spread. The book titled "Those Who
Trespass Against Us" has received media attention in both North America and
the UK and is a moving and brilliantly written account of Walter's early
years in Ireland as he struggled to survive the inhumane treatment imposed
on him by those charged with his care. Walter was an extraordinary man with
a creative genius that has been forever rooted in his children,
grandchildren, his art work and his music. In recognition of Walter's love
of life and his concern for Mother Earth, in lieu of flowers our family is
requesting that you please plant a shrub, a flower or tree in Walter's
memory. A private ceremony of remembrance will be held at Walter's long time
home in Surrey. Walter's children will take him home to Ireland next spring
where his ashes will be spread on the River Suir and on the graves of his
parents Edmund and Brigette. Walter is predeceased by his parents and
siblings, Elizabeth, Eileen, Billy, Jim, Sean and Emanon. "I thank the wind,
the rain, the sun and the earth for taking care of my every need, and now,
into whose hands I trust my dying seed. Free at last, I've played my part.
When summer comes, will you remember me in your heart?" Safe travels Dad, We
love you

SEARS _ Margaret Helen June 19th 1939 - April 18th 2007 When you are
sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are
weeping for that which has been your delight - Kahlil Gibran Margaret Helen
Sears, aged 67 years, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her
side on April 18th, 2007. Sadly missed by her loving husband Michael, her
beloved daughter Camilla, and numerous relatives and friends - Helen was an
inspiration to us all. She was the light of our life and brought joy to our
world each and every day. Helen was born in Manchester, England and moved to
Canada with her husband in 1968. After living here for 10 years, Helen and
Michael returned to London, England, where they lived and brought up Camilla
for the next 19 years. In 1998, they came to Canada and settled in West
Vancouver and Helen with her family began a wonderful and fulfilling life.
Helen had a passion for life and loved to be involved in many things. Once
back in Canada, she was able to spend time writing fiction and poetry, which
she loved so much. She became a part of the writers community in the lower
mainland and made some wonderful and special friends. Helen also loved to
sing and was a member of the church choir and the Pacific Spirit choir which
traveled to Amsterdam two years ago a trip that she loved very much. Her
love of traveling also took her to many spectacular places around the world.
Helen was a fantastic cook, loved to garden and looked after all the birds
that came to visit our familys home. She had a passion for the arts and
attended many cultural events including plays with her daughter at the
Playhouse and the Stanley. Helen also loved to spend time listening to
music, reading and watching films. We have been so blessed Helen has been a
wonderful mother, wife and devoted friend - and we are left with so many
amazing memories. She was our rock, our teacher and our beloved. We wish to
express our appreciation to all who helped Helen and us over this difficult
time. A memorial service will be held at West Vancouver Presbyterian Church
on Monday April 30th 2007, 3pm at 2893 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, V7V
