ANNECCHINI _ Cesare, born in Fossacescia, Italy on July 7, 1915 died in
Vancouver on June 29, 2007. He is survived by is loving wife Maria; son
Giuseppe (Naomi); daughter Lidia (Frank) Colonna; six grandchildren: Joseph,
Anthony, David, Elizabetta, Maria and Vito; four great-grandchildren:
Tamara, Monica, Karmen and Daniel. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, July 4
at 12:30 PM in St. Peters and St. Paul Church, 1430 W. 38th Ave., Vancouver
with the Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM. Entombment to follow in the
Abbey at Ocean View Cemetery. If desired, donations in Cesare's memory may
be made to the BC Lung Association, PO Box 34009 Stn D., Vancouver, BC, V6J
9Z9. The family would like to thank Dr. Jacques Rizkallah, the nurses and
staff at VGH who gave such excellent care to Cesare.

BAND _ Lena Constance January 29, 1926 - June 27, 2007 Connie passed away
peacefully on June 27, 2007 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver, BC.
Connie is survived by her sister Anna Leilani Band; special friend Vi
Nelson; aunt Lena Jacobs; nieces Vivian, Gail, Linda, Susie and Leilani,
nephews Alan, Harold, Nicholas, Christopher and Martin. Connie spent most of
her life living in Seattle, Washington and North Vancouver. She worked many
years for the Seattle Shipyards. She will be fondly remembered for her hard
work ethics and an active elder in her community the Squamish Nation, Connie
would attend community gatherings and celebrations. A Prayer Service will be
held on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Service will also be held
on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Indian Catholic Church,
424 West Esplanade, North Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers donations can be
made to the Canadian Diabetes Association Branch 360-1385 8th Avenue, W.
Vancouver BC V6H 3V9.

DAVIDSON _ Roberta passed away peacefully on June 29, 2007 at the age of 89.
Survived by husband Fred; sons Alan and Bruce; grandchildren James, Kim,
Scott and Sarah Philip; also her brothers Dave and Bill McIntosh. A memorial
service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Burquitlam
Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to the Salvation Army.

DOUGLAS _ Richard (Dick) Allan Passed away peacefully in Surrey on June 29,
2007 at the age of 69 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving family
and many friends. Many thanks to the staff of Zion Park Manor for the care
given to Dick during his short stay. No service by his request and donations
in Dick's memory can be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.

FENTIMAN _ Tracie Jane February 28, 1931 - June 29, 2007 It is with great
sadness that we announce that Tracie Fentiman, 76 passed away after a
courageous battle with emphysema. She will be forever missed by her mom
Carole Cavin, daughter Carel Featherstone (Bruce), son Scott Fentiman
(Susanne), Dick Fentiman and grandchildren, Mark, Grant, Neal, Courtney,
Taylor and Cleo the cat. Tracie will be missed by all she knew and loved.
She will be remembered for her hardy laugh, generous heart and love of ice
cream. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be
appreciated. No service by request.

SISTER FRANCES MARY FISCHER _ (Sister Frances Louise), Sister of Saint Ann,
died peacefully, June 30, 2007 at St. Ann's Residence, Victoria, BC, at the
age of 91. Born in Pandora, Alberta, to Anton and Mary (Mehl) Fischer on
December 29, 1915. In April 1938, she entered the Novitiate of The Sisters
of St. Ann, Victoria, BC, and took her first vows July 26, 1940. Until 1982,
Sister Frances served in roles of Community Service as cook, seamstress and
other related service in missions of British Columbia: Duncan, Kamloops,
Campbell River, Oliver, Lower Post, East Sooke, New Westminster and
Victoria. She also served as cook in the Yukon at St. Mary's Hospital,
Dawson, from 2002, Sister resided at St. Ann's Residence, devoting herself
to Community Service and prayer. Predeceased by her parents, her brothers
Andrew, Patrick and Robert; sisters Katharine Vogel and Margaret Goetz, she
will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn her niece Theresa Vogel (Victoria,
B.C.), nephew Lawrence Vogel Sr. (Saskatchewan) and family, niece MaryBeth
Goetz-Cowie (Don) and family (Alberta), niece Eleanor Goetz-Henderson (Mel)
and family (Alberta), numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins
Martha Nagle (Oregon), Mary Catherine and Raymond Mehl (Missouri), members
of her Religious Community and friends. A prayer service will be held at St.
Ann's Residence, 2474 Arbutus Road, Victoria, BC, July 3, 2007 at 7:00 pm. A
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ann's Residence, July 4,
2007 at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, interment will take place at
Hatley Memorial Gardens, Colwood. Condolences may be offered at

LACHOWICH _ Shirley Fern It is with great sadness we announce the passing of
our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister; Shirley Fern Lachowich. Her
loving husband of 51 years Ernie; her sister Doris; sons Micheal, Ken and
Gary; many grandchildren, family and friends remember her. Shirley will be
remembered for her love of life and the many people her life touched. A
celebration of her life will be held at Valley View Funeral Home at 2:00

LEAMONT _ Clifford passed away peacefully at Crossroads Hospice in Port
Moody, BC on June 28, 2007 at the age of 82. Survived by his loving wife Ev;
son Todd and daughter Alana and sister Minnie. Predeceased by first wife
Nona. Cliff was born in Moose Jaw Sask, raised in Vancouver and proudly
served in WWII. He had a successful career in construction, and once
retired, he enjoyed RV'ing throughout North America with Ev. The family is
very grateful for the loving care provided by staff at Burnaby General
Hospital and the Crossroads Hospice. A special thanks to the staff at WCB
and family member Maureen. A celebration of Cliff's life will be held on
July 5, 3:00 pm at Branch 263 Coquitlam Legion, 1025 Ridgeway, Coquitlam.

MANSELL _ Doug April 11, 1934 - June 27, 2007- Born in Vancouver It is with
great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father,
grandfather, brother and Uncle, Doug Mansell, on June 27 at age 73
peacefully at home. Survived by his loving wife and best friend, Barb,
loving daughter Bev (Ron), super special granddaughter Stephanie, brother
Loyd (Karen), brother-in-law Dan, nieces and nephews, Connie, Steve, Bruce,
Vonni, Diane and families and many wonderful friends. Predeceased by parents
Jack/Cis Mansell and in-laws Mae/Ed Prattley and sister-in-law Marg. He
spent most of his life at Whistler - from 1944 - on and was a dedicated
worker at Whistler Mountain from 1965 - 1983 - He truly loved building lifts
etc. Doug fought a courageous battle for one year with esophageal and liver
cancer. He fought so hard to win the battle but as he said in the last few
months - "he was running out of gas" - He would wish to thank all " the team
" - Dr. K. Evans, Dr. Parnes, Dr. Hay, Dr. Shah, the 6th floor chemo depart
& the palliative care team that made him so "special" in his last weeks,
Zaiga, Natalie, Monica, the Red Cross, ambulance crew, paramedics and fire
department. At his request, there will be no service or flowers but one may
donate to the B.C. Cancer Agency or charity of your choice.A family
gathering will be held at a later date. "It's not good bye "its" toodles"
Grandpa.

McLOUGHLIN _ Dorothy Elizabeth (nee McMahon) Age 78 years, died of a stroke
May 27, 2007 in Hope. Dorothy was born in Chilliwack, BC on June 18, 1928,
the daughter of the late Marshal Patrick McMahon and the late Eliza (Elsie)
Adams. She is survived by her former husband Peter Gavin McLoughlin of
Mission and sons John (Fay Gerbrandt) of Abbotsford and Michael of Hope.
Dorothy is survived as well by her sister C. Patricia McMahon and her late
sister Sheila Saunders' children William, Marie and Jeffery and many
cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister Margaret (Tucker) and
brother Joe. Dorothy's schooling began at St. Patrick's in Vancouver where
she graduated. She graduated from the University of B.C. with a Bachelor of
Home Economics '51, and B.Ed. (Sec.) '56. She taught in the Vancouver School
District and the North Vancouver District. She was a member of the
University Womens Club, various Roman Catholic Church education and charity
groups and a lifetime member of the Newman Association of Vancouver at
U.B.C. Married family life took her to Nanaimo, Kelowna, Fort St. John and
Mission. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Good
Hope Roman Catholic Church, Monday June 11, 2007. Arrangements in care of
McLean's Funeral Services Ltd.

MEDIC _ Milko March 3, 1923 - June 28, 2007 Passed away peacefully at
Burnaby General Hospital at the age of 84 years. Survived by his loving wife
of 50 years Neda; daughters Maria (Steve), Barbara (Glenn), Katherine
(Scott); and son Tony (Mary). Dide will be greatly missed by his 9
grandchildren Mark, Kate, Nicole, Monica, Natalie, Anastasia, Sara, Adam and
James. Milko was born in Nevidane, Croatia and came to Canada in 1951.
Prayers will be offered on Tuesday, July 3rd at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Wednesday, July 4th at 10:30am. Both will be at Immaculate
Heart of Mary (3105 E. 1st Ave. Vancouver). Interment to follow at Ocean
View Memorial Park. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made in his name at Sacred Heart Church in Nevidane where he was
baptized.

MORISHITA _ Hatsumi Irene. It is with deep sadness that the family announces
the passing of Hatsumi Irene on May 21, 2007. She was predeceased by her
parents Teiji and Sawa Morishita. Leaves to mourn her brother Teruo; sisters
Nancy Kuniko, Lil, Mitsy (Ken) Iwata, Kim; nieces Nadine (Tim) Randles,
Teresa, Shelly; cousins and dear friends. A service of remembrance was held
at the Vancouver Crematorium on May 25th. She will be dearly missed.

PRESCOTT _ John (Jack) Jack passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in
his 88th year. He leaves behind his loving wife Bea of 57 years; daughter
Janice (Bruce); son Gerald; 4 grandsons and 1 great-grandson. After retiring
from Sears in 1982 we enjoyed travelling and being with our grandsons. I
wish to thank the nurses and staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Hospice
for their loving care. No service by request.

PUHACH _ Christina Dorothy October 9, 1938 - June 28, 2007 It is with
profound sadness that I Michael her husband announce that my beloved
"Chrissie" passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2007. She had been
battling Breast Cancer since 1993 with subsequent metasteses to her bones,
liver and brain. During this time until the end of March this year we
travelled extensively. The travel included many ocean cruises and last
August a river cruise from St. Petersberg to Moscow; several visits to
Provence France, opera visits to Vienna, London, Paris, Verona, San
Francisco and New York (the latter three cities accompanied with close
friends). In particular holiday time for each March in the last 14 years was
a trip to Maui, Hawaii along with a number of visits to her family in
England, Holland and Switzerland. She had fond memories of the bridge
groups, tennis participation, skiing at Whistler, swimming with friends at
Jericho Beach, along with 33 years of Opera dinner meetings and many regular
New Years parties with close friends in our home. She had special fond
memories (as did I) of her mother living with us for over 30 years until she
was 96 and there after caring for her until she passed away at the age of
100. She also loved to work in her English flower garden with our pet golden
retriever dog Sasha watching from time to time. She is lovingly remembered
by her husband Michael, her brother Bernard in England along with her nieces
and nephews and families in England, Holland and Switzerland and many close
friends and Sasha too! In lieu of flowers donations to BC Cancer Foundation,
200 - 601 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC., V5Z 4C2 for Breast Cancer
Metasteses Research would be appreciated. At "Chrissie's" request a private
gathering to celebrate her life shall be held at a later date. Many thanks
to Drs. S. O'Reilly, M. Keyes, L. W. Williams and all other Drs. and staff
of nurses and care workers who looked after her at both the BC Cancer Agency
and Palliative Care at her home and to our many friends who have been so
supportive in these last weeks.

RUTHERFORD _ Grace Lilian Sprott July 28, 1932 - June 27, 2007. The family
is sad to announce that Grace passed away in her sleep during the early
hours. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Perry, her son Michael,
daughters Caron and Janis, sons-in-law Marcel and David, and grandchildren
Trevor, Janine and Maia, brother John (Scotty), and sister Madge, and a
large extended family. Grace was born in Langley, B.C. July 28, 1932. She
made a positive impression on many lives during her many years teaching
elementary school. She is greatly loved and will be missed by many. A
memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10:00 am. at
Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. Donations in Grace's

SIEGELSTEIN _ Bela. Born in Romania on July 9, 1923. Passed away on June 25,
2007. Survived by his wife, Vera Marton, and sisters Rita and Serena. He was
a gentle, patient, and a kind man. Bela appreciated the care he received
over many years for his heart at St. Paul's Hospital. A private ceremony has
been held. Bela will be remembered.

TAGGART _ Martha (Matt) August 29, 1915 - June 26, 2007 Matt passed away on
June 26, 2007 in the embrace of her loving family. Matt was predeceased by
her devoted husband, William John Taggart, and her precious daughter Sharon.
Matt will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Sandy and
Brian Legge, grandson Adam and wife Shannon, cherished great-grandchildren
Sofia and Thomas, granddaughter Jenny and partner Simon, sister-in-law Jean
and husband Richard Anderson, nephews Geoff, Carey, niece Wendy and their
families, many friends and her Cavell Gardens family. Matt was a loving and
caring person who enriched our lives with her grace, unconditional love and
unfailing courtesy. Matt had many talents and shared her paintings, quilts
and knitting which will be treasured for many generations. In lieu of
flowers; donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A celebration of
Matt's life will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at First Memorial, 602
Kingsway, Vancouver AT 2:00 p.m. with tea to follow.
