BUESCHKENS _ Josef was born April 16, 1922 in Cologne Germany and enjoyed
his youth growing up along the Rhein River. After completing engineering
school he volunteered for the 1st division paratroops and served tours in
Crete, Russia, Africa and Normandy. Following the war he returned to Germany
where he met his wife to be Kaja Luckman and they decided to move to Canada
to start a new life together. Josef arrived in Montreal in 1951 with $100.00
tucked away in his shoe and came across the country by train to Vancouver
Island where he started working in forestry in order to generate enough
money to bring Kaja over 2 years later. His selling career started at the
Hudson's Bay company in Victoria after which he started his own business in
Vancouver in 1964 which flourished into warehouse, office and home
construction business until his retirement in 1984. Both Joe and Kaja
traveled extensively over the next many years and enjoyed their family and
grandchildren in North Vancouver. Josef is predeceased by his wife and
survived by his three sons Peter, Michael, William and their families
totalling seven grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him,
his lust for life and sense of humour. In true Paratrooper fashion he
tackled life head on and savoured every moment. Joe has now completed his
last jump... August 4, 2007. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner's

FORSYTH _ William (Bill) Michael born in Neepawa, Manitoba, October 15,
1947, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 7,
2007. Bill, pre-deceased by his father Morley, is survived by his beloved
wife Janyce, his son Pierre, his mother Virginia, his twin brother Morley
(Margot), brother Raymond (Jonathan), sister Barbara, sister-in-law Bev
(Paul), sister-in-law Judy, his nieces Virginia (Paul), Kathryn, Sigourney,
Genevieve, nephews John, Charlie, and Rhys, grand niece Sophie, grand
nephews John Jr. (J.J.), Tobias and Leo. As a child Bill was a quiet boy,
but nevertheless managed to attract a lot of attention with his twin brother
Morley. From an early age and for the rest of his life Bill had a quick wit
and a talent for fixing things. As a young man, Bill joined his father
Morley and his brother Raymond in the family business (Forsyth Rentals and
Equipment) selling and renting heavy machinery. Bill's organizational skills
and his talent for troubleshooting and problem solving were key reasons why
Forsyth Rentals grew into a very successful business. Later Bill and Ray
worked together in a new business designing and manufacturing heavy
equipment. Once again the new business achieved terrific success in large
part because of Bill's skill and ability in managing difficult and complex
operations. Bill was the bedrock upon which the family businesses were
built. In his younger years Bill was an expert skier. He was an active
participant in the lively apres ski culture at Whistler from the heady days
of the resort town in the mid 1970's to the mid 1990's. Later, Bill became
an avid boater and shared many happy times on the water with his wife Janyce
and their son Pierre. Over the years Bill won the respect and friendship of
his fellow boaters, in part because of his work as their amateur consultant
on all manner of mechanical problems, but mostly because of his playful
sense of humour, good nature and solid character. Bill was the proud father,
friend and mentor to his son Pierre and soul-mate and loving husband to his
wife Janyce. Together with his family (and his dog Nikki) Bill lived a life
filled with love, happiness and laughter. Taken from us too soon, Bill will
be remembered as a devoted son, father, husband and brother, quick to help
his friends; someone who lifted our spirits and enriched our lives. A
celebration of Bill's life will be held on Tuesday, August 14th from 2:00 pm
to 5:00 pm at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Flowers are graciously
declined. Donations to the BC Children's Hospital or Make-a-Wish Foundation
in Bill's memory would be appreciated.

Granddaughter, Emily. Brother Ron (Jasmine), as well as Aunty Marge and

Carolina family and friends. Let's not forget to mention his faithful
Schnauzer, Eli. Wayne was born in Vancouver, and spent his entire working
career in different aspects of the B.C. lumber industry. Wayne's family and

listener. He loved fishing, and spent many beautiful B.C. summers pursuing
his hobby with family and friends. We know that he's in the perfect fishing
spot now. A Celebration of Wayne's life to be held at Fairwinds Golf Club,

"In Loving Memory of Florence Rose" ROSE _ Florence (nee Chidlow) passed
away peacefully August 7, 2007 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New
Westminster, B.C. Florence was born in Chilliwack, B.C. February 6, 1922.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gordon, and children
Stephanie (Les) Martlew, Richard, Andrea, Susan, grandchildren David
(Noelle) Mori, Matthew (Maggie) Mori, Owen Martlew, Stacey Martlew,
great-grandchildren Amelia and Nevaeh Mori. Our love and appreciation for
you in a poem: In Your Garden It began with a man. This man became your
husband. A union that would span for more than half a century. Upon meeting
this man there followed sunlight. Bright, beautiful rays of sun. It was the
kind of light which is so encompassing that it wraps you in all its warmth
and joy and you feel all you can do is smile. There was plenty of sun. There
was plenty of love. There were plenty of smiles. Under this sun you shared
the quiet comfort of the simplicity of a small town. It was within this
light that the two of you shared your desires for a family. As your thoughts
grew, your desires for family did as well. This accumulation of love and
trust cultivated a home for you both. Together, you grew a family. First, a
daughter. Then, a son. Another daughter. And finally, another daughter. In
bloom, your family grew. In bloom, love grew. Years later, and after much
light and nourishing rains, your garden continued to grow. A grandson.
Another grandson. And yet, another grandson. Until finally, a granddaughter.
At last, a granddaughter. Your garden became even more green, Even more lush
it seems. And each year this garden gave back to you, As much as you gave
back to it. Then, one day, while admiring your garden in all its wonder, you
noticed two new seedlings beginning to sprout out from the soil. There they
were, two great-granddaughters! Two small, fragile flowers sprung out of the
earth from the love and warmth with which your garden first began. Today, we
walk through this creation admiring what you have grown and what you have
nurtured. We brush past the silk petals on our long walks in the sunlight
and we sit on strong oak benches, gazing at the firm stems while rolling the
full leaves between our finger tips. We lay in the tall grass while we think
of you and embrace the kaleidoscope of colours and sweet fragrances that
adorned your life. It is you whom we shall always love. It is within your
garden where we shall always grow. For Florence Rose by David S. Mori,
Thursday, August 09, 2007. Arrangements made through the Memorial Society of
B.C.

WEINER _ Helmut Born June 23, 1925 in Germany and passed away in Vancouver
on August 9, 2007 after a very short battle with pancreatic cancer. Helmut
will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years Maria (Mia); sons Herb
(Edith) and Mike; grandchildren Chris, Jeanette (Gavin), Zoe, and Mia; and
great-grandchildren Sebastian, Anna, and Imogen. He is also survived by
numerous friends and family in Germany, USA, and Canada. Helmut moved to
Canada in 1965 and was a long-time employee at Charlie Smith Machine Works.
Helmut enjoyed travels to Germany, Hawaii, Reno, and Cultus Lake with his
beloved Mia. He was an avid soccer player into his 50's and became his son's
and grandson's #1 fan once he hung up his own soccer boots. He loved cold
beer, socializing with friends, and had a great sweet tooth. Most of all,
Helmut loved his wife and family. He will be greatly missed but never
forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at
Our Saviour Lutheran Church (6340 No. 4 Rd., Richmond, BC.) at 11am. In lieu
of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
