Murray, Bruce dePas It is with great sadness that we lost Bruce in his 80th
year, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in west
Vancouver and was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Les, Wallace and
Ivan. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley; son David
(Judy), daughter Sylvia, daughter Leonore (Bob), daughter Wendy, (Glen), son
Ivan (Tanya), stepdaughter, Leigh Knox and son, Terry (Darcy).
Grandchildren: Colleen, Audrey, Chelsey, Angela, Nicole, Travis, Mason,
Melissa, Christopher, Sarah, Shane, Alex, Dallan, Lucien, Tammy, Cody and
Kristy. Also 20 great grandchildren, many great nieces and nephews in
Eastern Canada; a nephew Ken Murray of New Brunswick, and cousins in
Mission, B.C. He also leaves behind his special little dog, Essy, who he
loved dearly. Bruce's favourite times were travelling with Shirley in their
RV having pot luck dinners with family and friends, fishing on Johnstone
Straits, watching hockey and football, and listening to his extensive
collection of music. Bruce enjoyed many years on Hardwicke Island, working
for Bendickson Contractors as their accountant. In his retirement years he
enjoyed being at the cottage on Hardwicke where he loved to spend time beach
combing, filling his woodshed and puttering in his workshop. There are many
happy memories from those days on Hardwicke, especially the wonderful times
spent at the labour day weekend fishing derby. There will be no service at
his request. The family will be having a "Celebration of Life" in his
memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer
