CLARK : O'HAGAN : STROHM : MULLETT : STORRIE :

STROHM(Nee Engedahl),
Ruth Kristine Ruth Kristine Strohm (nee Engedahl), born on August 13, 1920
in Norway, passed away on April 18, 2008 in Campbell River, BC. She was
predeceased by her husband, Jack Strohm on April 3, 1996. Ruth is survived

A heart of gold stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts
to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

The leaves and flowers
may wither.
The golden sun may set.
But the hearts that loved
so dearly,
Are the ones who won’t forget.

Ruth was a world class baker and her pies and lefsa will be missed.
Private family Arrangements and Cremation entrusted to Sutton’s. In lieu of
flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to a
charity of one’s own choice.

CLARK, George Neilson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Neilson
Clark. Born on July 10, 1921, George, having lived a full life, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Campbell River Hospital, at the
age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife, Ruth;
and their son Stuart. George is survived by his brother, Bill; loving sons,
Steven (Narda) and Michael (Rose); grandsons, Devin, Bailey and Andy
(Nikki); great grandchildren, Brodie and Kate; daughter-in-law, Marie-Lou
and her daughter, Cielo.
George was born in Vancouver, BC and met his wife-to-be, Ruth, at Lord Bing
High School. They married in 1944 and moved to Campbell River in 1951, to
work at Hughes Bros. Plumbing & Heating. By 1965 he had opened up his own
business, Van Isle Plumbing and Heating, which he very successfully managed
until he retired in 1982. George most enjoyed being with family and friends,
entertaining and playing cards. He was a long time member of Sequoia Springs
Golf Club and enjoyed nothing more than a good game of golf with friends,
anywhere, anytime, or curling at the C.R. Winter Club in our rainy season.
In his later years, he joined the Oyster River Salmon Enhancement Society,
and enjoyed the weekly events, till he was just there for moral support and
camaraderie. He will be greatly missed and ever loved. We would like to
thank the 3rd Floor Staff at the Campbell River Hospital for their kindness
and care.
A Celebration of George’s Life will be held at the Christian Life Fellowship
Church, 445 Merecroft Street, Campbell River, BC, on Saturday, April 26,
2008 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Albert Hopp officiating. Cremation. A Reception
will follow the Service at the Elks Hall, 516 South Dogwood Street. In lieu
