BEAUREGARD, May May 19th, 1915 March 29th, 2008 May was a feisty, determined
and above all, an all consumed survivor. We will all miss her wicked sense

others had long abandoned ship. We were all very sad to see her leave this
earth, but we know she is healthy once again in the presence of her Maker.
May leaves to mourn her daughter Rollande, her son Robert (Sandy);
granddaughter Esther and her sisters Edna and Maria (Roland and Raymond); as
well as numerous friends. The family wishes to thank the medical personnel
and the caregivers who took excellent care of May in the last year of her
full life at Glengarry's Richmond Pavilion following her stroke. A
celebration of her life will be held Monday, May 5th, at 3:00 p.m. at
McCall's Chapel (Vancouver and Johnson Streets). Father Benoit Laplante will

JENSEN, Captain Albert Eric It is with great sadness we announce the passing
of Eric on April 17, 2008. Eric was born in Jamaica on August 8, 1926. He
leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Kay, after 56 years of marriage,
as well as his loving children Pat, Ann Marie (Allan), Linda (Terry), Paul,
and Grace (Dan), grandchildren Ryan, Ian, Heather and Haley, and other
relatives. Eric was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved to
share his wealth of knowledge and stories with his family and friends. He
loved working on his lathe and always lent a helping hand when someone
needed a particular item made. Eric's love of the sea started when his
father gave him a small boat. He spent most of his free time as a teen
sailing his boat around Kingston Harbour. At 17, he took a job on a merchant
marine ship and very quickly became the third mate. Over the next 14 years,
which Eric spent mostly at sea, he received his Jamaican pilot's license. He
also went to navigation school in Nova Scotia where he earned his Mates and
Master Mariner foreigngoing certificates. He piloted ships in Jamaica from
1958 until 1975. At that time, Eric and his family immigrated to Canada. He
worked for BC Ferries for a short time; then worked on civilian vessels at
DND before moving on to the Queen's Harbour Master's Office. After retiring
in 1991, Eric kept busy in his workshop as well as adjusting compasses until
his health deteriorated. Eric was diagnosed with PSP (progressive
supranuclear palsy) and eventually succumbed to this rare degenerative
disease. The family would like to thank the staff at Glengarry Hospital,
Chandler Unit who took such great care of Eric these past three years.
Funeral Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Ave.,
