Hi Peggy, Just a few thoughts - Rosa SHEFFORD - was your grandmothers
maiden name ? Did Rosa have a middle name ? Aprox when was she born?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Searched the B.C. Vital Stats - for the name SHEFFORD - nothing found. Her
birth may have been a late registration. If the registration was very late
( eg - my mothers registration was finally made and accepted 3 months
after her death at age 87 ).There may have been an error in filing -
possibly using your grandmothers married name - rather than her birth
surname. Just a wild guess on this one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rosa SHEFFORD married William TURNER in B.C. in 1890 ? Did William
TURNER have a middle name ?
Searched the B.C. Vital Stats - for a SHEFFORD - TURNER marriage - nothing
found.
I tried a search for a marriage - using just the given name Rosa - but
without an aprox date - it makes the search more difficult- there is no
Rosa Shefford for the time frame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mother Louise Marie Victoria Turner - was born in Vancouver 1897 .
I checked the B.C. Vital Stats - No record shows a Louise Marie Victoria
TURNER - or SHEFFORD born in 1897.
There is a Myrtly Violet Turner - born April 29, 1897 - at North Bend B.C.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Did your grandparents divorce or did your grandfather William Turner pass
away ?
If William Turner passed away - do you know when ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
About what age was Rosa ? when she died.
I searched the Govt Vital Stats and found the following. I am going to do
a few searches early in the week. - although we are having a memorial for
my mother who passed away 4 years ago on Sept 5.- we still have family
here who came from out of town to attend the funeral of my cousins wife-
I will search the following registrations. to see what information there
is, also search to see if there are any obituaries..
