Graham I suspect your "Port Alberney" below should
read "Port Alberni". It is a small town on Vancouver
Island. I did a search on the name "Ross" in the Vital
Index in Port Alberni and found a large number of
death's, under the name of Ross which may or may not
be related.

The following marriage reg should include were she was
born, her age and name of parents:
Groom Name:
Bertram Percy Allard
Place: Port Alberni
Reg. Number:1913-09-170705
Bride Name:Florence Mackenzie Ross
Date: 1913 7 25 (Yr/Mo/Day)
Event:Marriage
Microfilm #:B11387

Perhaps someone on the list is heading to the library
could do a look up for details on the above or try a
volunteers at the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness
BC http://www.raogk.org/bcolumbia.htm
to see if someone is willing to do a look up and copy
the marrage info from the films. Normally no charge
but you should cover their cost of coping and postage.


On the 1891 Vancouver Island census there are no Ross
family listed in Port Alberni but there are
McKenzie's!

also know that he
married Florence McKenzie Allard (Nee Ross) on the 25
July at Port
Alberney BC, Canada. No year though! So I presume that
Florence was
Canadian or living in Canada when they met and
married.
