Does anyone have an interest or connection with this CLARKE family? They always spelled their name CLARKE with and "E" but that doesn't mean it didn't get changed with future generations in Canada.
Parents Robert Oldham Clarke b England and Mary Margaret Lane or Lang b Ireland.
Mary was a Catholic and it seems the children were brought up as Catholics.
Albert Francis O (known as Bertie) CLARKE b July 1887 in Ireland.
Victor William John (known as Jack apparently) CLARKE b 1888 Ireland
two daughters - Ellen Mary Josephine and Margaret Cecelia - neither married and both are buried in the Catholic section of the Ross Bay Cemetery in Victoria along with their younger brother. Edward Joseph Yorke CLARKE. I have seen the grave.
Mary Margaret is also buried in Ross Bay whereas Robert Oldham Clarke who died in 1936 is buried in Royal Oak.
Mary Margaret died in 1922 and Robert married again in 1924 to Clara Frances NOBLE.
Bertie married Mary Gordon Simpson 31 Dec 1907 in Victoria
Victor married Ethel Maude Sargison 5 July 1911 in Quesnel. He died before 1924 as Ethel (a widow) married again in 1924.
Edward married Helen ??? Edward died 21 July 1942
How would I go about tracing any possible children of the CLARKE sons? Surely one of them must have had at least one child??
