A couple of years ago my brother in law from Co. Cork put me in touch with
Patrick Hewitt, who is responsible for the registers for the parishes of
Dunmanway, Drimoleague, Drinagh and Coolkelure. I was searching for Richard
Forbes b. 1796, later marr. Jane Wolfe in 1818. He found no records for me
and said that the only parish with dates going back that far was
Drimoleague, to the west of Dunmanway. Patrick Hewitt's email is
