Hi List, I'm new here and taking a long shot with my first post.
I am looking for descendents of Charles and Jane (?) Murray, who immigrated from Ireland in 1824. They eventually settled at New Ireland, Albert County, N.B.
Charles and Jane raised at least seven children at New Ireland, (the oldest, James, having been born in Ireland in 1821), and I have traced all seven to varying degrees.
The seven were; James, John, William, Susan, Charles, Andrew and Mary Jane.
In this particular case, my attention is on Charles, because some of his off-spring eventually made their way to the New Brunswick "North Shore". He married Margaret Crawford, of Charlotte Co., in 1859. They moved from Charlotte, to Albert, then to Sunbury Counties, where they farmed. Charles and Margaret had five children that I am aware of; John H., Jane, Letitia, Margaret and Andrew William.
John H. Murray, married Juleanna Boudreau, 14 May 1889, at Glenlivet, Restigouche Co., N.B. They had the following children that I am aware of; Catherine Georgina, b.25 Aug 1891, in Campbllton, Charles Clarence, b.28 Apr 1895, in Glenlivet, Lilian, b. 26 May 1895, in Glenlivet, Carl Henry, b.03 Aug 1898, in Glenlivet, Robert Leonard, b.27 Sep 1900, in Glenlivet, John Alan, b.06 Sep 1902 and Helen, b.Sep 1903.
On 25 Jan 1916, Robert Leonard enlisted in the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force, giving his age as nineteen years. He names his father, John H., as his next-of-kin, and shows his father's address to be Millstream, Bonaventure County, Que.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who may recognize this family.
