I don't know if they are from your family, but a book of McCreary MB records
show a number of Copelands over the years in McCreary.

Robert Copeland came from Wingham, Ontario in 1881 with his father's family
at age 15, travelling by steamboat. They brought their stock to Winnipeg
and set up a wagon train as there was no railroad at the time. They bought
a farm near Tenby. There were 12 children and he farmed along his father.
Robert m. Wilhelmina Olsen(who came to Tenby with her family from Sweden)
1890 and stayed there until 1909 when they moved to Norgate. In 1911 he
bought a farm northwest of McCreary. He farmed there until his death 1938.
They had 14 children. If it sounds familiar, I can email you further
information and a family picture off-list.

William Copeland Sr. and wife Agnes (nee Shields) moved to Manitoba from
Wingham in 1878. William (Bill) Jr. was 11 at the time. In 1897 Bill m.
Pauline Oswald of Waldersee on a farm in the Plumas District near Tupper
School. They had 9 children. Bill d. 1938, Pauline d. 1958. There is
further information, along with a wedding picture of Pauline and William Jr.

Eurith Philips was born in Wexford County, Ireland. She came to Canada,
where she married Joseph Copeland in 1844. After Joseph died in Ontario,
Eurith came to Winnipeg, where she died on November 27, 1894. Her father
died before she was born and other than the surnames of Philips and
Derenzy, little is known of her family.

Eurith probably was living with one of three of her children. Robert T.
Copeland who had married Elizabeth McIntyre, and they lived in Pilot
Mound.

Eurith Annette Copeland married Lachlan C. McIntyre, and they lived in
Winnipeg. Elizabeth Copeland married Thomas D. Robinson (Robertson), and
they too lived in Winnipeg.

In an attempt to learn more about Eurith Copeland/Philips's parents, I
am trying to learn more about her children, to see if any descendants
are still living in Winnipeg or area.

Canada 411 shows the count for Copelands to be Winnipeg 19 and the
province to be 38. McIntyres are 100 Winnipeg and 185 in the province.

Does anyone recognize these Copelands?
