11/5/1925 MISS HANNAH MILLER
The death occurred on Wednesday, October the 28th of Miss Hannah MILLER
at the age of 79 years.
Born near St. Marys, Perth County, Ontario on June 18th, 1846, she came to
this western country in 1891, settling in this district.
Throughout her life the late Miss MILLER was a very faithful and untiring
church worker. To many she proved a real friend in need, helping those who
were not in such a fortunate position as herself.
The funeral service was held in her late residence on Friday afternoon,
Rev. T. B. BUTLER officiating, assisted by Rev. Hislop DICKSON. Following the
service interment was made in the Miller cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her loss one brother, William MILLER and one sister,
Mrs. N. MC DONALD, both of Oak River. Beautiful floral wreaths were sent by
her brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. SPARLING and Mrs. W. K. DELAMATER;
and one from the W.A. and Vestry of the local Anglican Church.
The pall-bearers were: J. BLACK, A. ELLIS, J. SNOWDON, W. H. ENGLISH,
Robt. HEDLEY and Joe HANNA.

7/8/1925 WILLIAM THOMPSON
The community of Cardale was saddened on Sunday to learn of the death in
Neepawa hospital of William THOMPSON of this district on Sunday afternoon at 1
o'clock.
Mr. THOMSON had undergone an operation for appendicitis some time ago and
had never fully recovered. He had farmed in the Cardale district for a number
of years and was a highly respected member of the community. In his death the
baseball club lost a valuable supporter. Mr. THOMPSON was in his 59th year.
His wife predeceased him on April 12th. The funeral was held yesterday
(Tuesday) afternoon at Marney cemetery.
