my gggrandfather john ball came to canada with wife susan and three
children in 1832. two children died shortly after arrival. twq other 's
were born in canada. john worked on the grenville canal for two years
then ended up in the montreal area where he died in 1840. i have his
death certificate from christ church cathedral. can some kind person
look up in any city directories or census records where they might have
lived and how a young irish widow could have supported herself and sons
william--joseph--and john for ten years until they all moved to
watertown n,y, in 1850 this would sure help fill in a gap
in my montreal--irish family. thank you all very much for reading my
message and any help or clue you can find. ray
