The reason I'm asking this, Ken, is that I have found two entries on
"Soldiers of the First World War" site of the National Archives. The
address of both men is shown as 1208 Wellington St., Verdun. Thought I
would have a look at the 1901 census to try sort out their ages. On the
above site they are both shown as born in the same year (1895). I know this
is not the case as I have all the family information. I realize that the
d.o.b.(s) of many of these applicants were incorrect. BTW, on the
applications, dated 1915, their occupations are shown as "farmers". Is that
a bit odd for this area?
