Subject: [Montreal-Irish] Interesting Gravestone Research in Ireland

Try this website,,
http://www.historyfromheadstones.com It is a great and
interesting source for records. There are maps with every graveyard
divided by faith. If you click on the mapdot it tells you everything
you want to know to research further. Also do the surname
search,,,it's free and it will give you anything that has the name that
they have recorded on gravestones.
These are interesting as they often will give a father or mother and
additionally where others of the family have died......ie, drowned on
xxx ship 1859, or died in India, or killed in Australia.
There are also some very interesting historical pages under the Case
Study and Church histories,,,
I should mention that on the pictures of the gravestones that are shown,
if you put your cursor over them it does show the surname of the "owner".
Good Luck.
