Subject: [Montreal-Irish] WHITE - family in Montreal 1880's

Looking for information on this family from the 1881 Montreal census:
White, John, born about 1841 in Quebec, laborer, Church of England, Irish origin
White, Fanny, born about 1841 in Ireland, Church of England
White, Ellen born 1862 in Quebec
White, William born about 1865 in Quebec
(these 2 were not on 1881 Quebec census, but were on the Ottawa census in 1871 with this White family)
White, Mary-Ann born about 1867, Quebec
White, Rose-Ann born Nov 15, 1869, Ontario (Ottawa)
White, John born about 1871, Ontario
White, Fanny born about 1876, Ontario
White, Ellen born about 1878, Quebec
Rose-Ann is my great-grandmother. She married Joseph Remi Tanguay in 1887 at St. Ann's Catholic church. He was from St. Charles parish, son of Remi Tanguay and Adeline Bertrand. Rose-Ann obviously converted to Catholicism. Her parents were listed as John White and Fanny Craig on her marriage record, indicating her mother was deceased (which I already had as March 26, 1882 in Tanguay family bible) and her father could not be found.
I have reviewed the Protestant BMD records for Montreal for the parents marriage and the birth of the children but have found nothing.
I am so stuck! I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Maureen
