Helo Murray,

Have you tried to ask to read Martin's original Death or Burial Certificate
at CdeN - I would think you might be able to access it as a direct
descendant (if you are one). As to the name Emma it could be used in French.
The Genealogy section at the new location in Montreal (on Viger St.), has a
Data Bank that covers Quebec Marriages & Deaths from 1926 to 1996 - this
might help to know the spouse's name. Good luck,
