Hi Shelia,

I believe you sent me data on this Slattery guy before, but this
current bit of info seems to have a bit of a twist to it, making me a little
unsure if it's actualy the same guy. But, - I guess anything's possible with
my so many "same-first-named" Quinns & Slatterys. Would you mind
double-checking the names (and the arrangement of the first & second names)
in this Baptism? The B. & Bapt. dates correspond to what I have, but the
names seem to be a little out of whack, which in turn, seem to throw the
relationships out of whack also.
You indicate:-
an "Edward Morgan" Slattery ------> (whereas I have a "Morgan Edward"
Slattery),
son of John "Quinn" - Blacksmith -> (whereas I have a John "Slattery" -
Blacksmith
and of "Mary" Quinn --------------> (whereas I have a "Mary Ann" Quinn)

With regards to The Coonans of "The Pint", - an interesting detail
regarding Emily (Emilie?) Coonan - the painter (Book:-The Women of Beaver
Hall:- Canadian Modernist Painters - By Evelyn Walters) and Estelle Coonan -
the baptismal witness. In previous E-mails about Emily, and the Coonans as a
family, an Estelle is listed as the 2nd child of one William Coonan,
"machinist", and of a Mary Ann Fullerton. On one of the WebSites I was
looking at regarding the artist/painter Emily Coonan, it indicated that
Emily's father was also a "machinist". And, if you refer to your Coonan /
Fullerton baptismal data (re-shown below), you'll notice that Emily
(Emilie?) "the painter" is the 4th child, and would appear to be a sister of
Estelle, "the witness" for Edward Morgan Slattery's Baptism, which in fact
would pretty well make sense, since according to Montreal's Lovells'
1899-1900 Directory, the Coonans lived at #13 Farm St., directly across the
street from the parents of Mary Quinn, the mother of Eward Morgan Slattery,
at # 14 Farm St.. By'de'way, there was also another Coonan (Patrick), also a
"machinist", who lived three doors down the street towards Wellington St. at
#9, which was located almost directly across Farm St. from the entrance to a
small "T"-intersection street called St. Agnes Lane.
