Thanks to all (especially Sally, Dorren, Richard and Johan) who helped me
find the orphanage my grandmother spent a lot of her childhood years in
I have been searching for a long long time and can finding put that part of
the puzzle to rest
Thanks again - you are a special bunch indeed

Cote des Neiges Road starts above Sherbrooke Street West, below Sherbrooke
it is called rue Guy Street.
You didn't mention a time period, but I looked at Lovell's and find the
street directory for 1910/11, No. 93 was in the name of Vidrine Claude;
(St. Andrew and Mount Royal Wards) but that in 1919 there was no building at
93 Cote des Neiges Road (which goes through St. Andrew and also Notre Dame
de Grace wards).

My grandmother spent most of her childhood years in, what she called, "the
home", which was basically an orphanage for children whose parents could not
afford to keep them
It was located at 93 Cote Des Neiges Rd - can anyone give me some idea of
that location. I am presuming the "home" is not still there but I would be
interested to know if anyone has any information pertaining to it. My
grandmother was Anglican so I am sure it was run by the protestant church
(she attended St. George's pretty much throughout her life and it's nice to
know it is still standing). As a matter of fact, my mother got married in
that church also.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
