This Patrick James Whelan was the person who hanged for the murder of D'Arcy
McGee.

Whelan and of Mary Sullivan of Co. Galway, Ireland
TO: Bridget Boyle of this parish daughter of age of dec. Donald Boyle and
dec. Catharine (looks like) Tuite of Co. Kerry, Ire.

Bridget Boyle lived on 37 St. Alexander St. Montreal and died Nov. 30, 1904
and buried at NDDN, Montreal, Dec. 12, 1904

When friends and wife went to claim the body, they explained that he wanted
to be buried in Montreal at NDDN with Patrick Doody who was also arrested and
had died in January 1869. They were not given the body and Whelan is buried
in jail yard in Ottawa. Sheila's Note: Doody is my ancestor.
