I have an Alfred Hayes, son of Joseph Hayes and Mary Chartran; I'm hoping
someone can link up this family. So far I haven't had any success even
though his WWI enlistment papers say he was born in Montreal Apr 18, 1876.

Alfred Hayes was a widower when he married my grandmother Rose Lucas in Port
Arthur, ON. They were married May 15, 1911. According to the 1911 census
they were living in a rooming house. Prior to this record there is no hint
of where he was other than his obituary saying he was in the Port Arthur
(Thunder Bay) are since the early 1900's.

Pat and I know that we are related through Patrick Hayes, who married my GGG
Aunt, Mary Corcoran. Patrick Hayes and Denis Hayes were brothers. We
would like to find descendents of John Hayes, a third brother.

Unfortunately, my computer is beyond repair. I hope to have a new one by
next week. I may have lost some of the e-mails sent to me by Doreen and
Sheila - will let you know if I need them to be resent. I didn't have time
to integrate everything they sent into my tree.

Hope to hear from anybody related to this Hayes family as well as other
branches!
