Earlier on this board is a series of exchanges about Mary Sayre / Martin Chapman / James Sayre / James Kelly [see May - June 2007].
On the possibility that "Mary Wortman" from the 1851 census is daughter of Mary (Sayre) Chapman, I looked at volume 1 of the Westmorland county marriage index. In record B 251 2612, we find: 1846, John Dimock Wortman married Mary Chapman, both of Moncton parish. There is no marriage date [other than the year 1846], but it was registered on 2 May 1846.
In Daniel Johnson's Vital Statistics database on the NB provincial archives website, there is this clipping:
30 Oct 1847, New Brunswick Courier: d. Bend of Petitcodiac (West. Co.) 20th inst., John D. WORTMAN, age (32?), left young widow, one child.
