BARRETT, William G. - of Salmon Cove, passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, June 19, 2006, age 87 years. Predeceased by son Kevin, 1978; brothers: Maxwell, Everett, Lloyd and Jack; sister, Marjorie. Leaving to mourn wife Nellie M.; two sisters: Yvonne MacMillan, BC and Alma (Clarence) Pynn, New Chelsea; sisters-in-law: Winnie Barrett, Mount Pearl, Marion Barrett, Norman's Cove and Doreen Barrett, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Thursday, June 22. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. PURCELL, William Richard - Passed peacefully away at his home on Bell Island on June 19, 2006, William Purcell, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his brothers: George (Nellie), Jim (Martha) and Gord; sisters: Nell, Beth (Gord) and Ann. Leaving to mourn his wife Lucy; children: Janet Lahey (Gerald), Dan, Agnes (Jerome), Bill (Denise) and Tina Wilkinson (Charlie); brother Ned (Mary); sisters: Mary Bradbury (Jake) and Dorothy Kennedy (Jim); brother-in-law Tasker; sister-in-law Helen; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Bell Island. SEXTON, Wilbert - Passed away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista, on Sunday, June 18, 2006, Wilbert Sexton in his 72nd year. Leaving to mourn one daughter: Pauline Ricketts, Thompson, Manitoba; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters: Evelyn, Gander, Madge Kelly (Jim), Tacoma, Washington and Noreen Tulk (Bill), Port Union. Resting at Strathies Funeral Home, Bonavista. Funeral to be held from Memorial United Church at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21. Interment at the Lookout Cemetery, Bonavista. - 06/21/06

STAMP, Madeline Theresa - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Home on Monday, June 19, 2006, in the presence of her loving family, Madeline Theresa Stamp, age 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Richard and son Wayne. Leaving to mourn children Patricia (Bob), Richard, Carol Ann (Doug), Delores (Paul), Gerald (Jackie) and Bob (Diane); two sisters Margaret, St. John's and Gertrude, Texas; also leaving to mourn her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
