Subject: [West Coast NL] help indentifying two men in National Geographicarticle
Date: Wed, 11 Jul 2007 14:11:55 -0600
Hi all,
I have a copy of a photo from a National Geographic article on Newfoundland, Canada's Newest Province. There are two men John Duffney & Jim White who are fishing guides. They lead the author & photographer on a fishing trip to the Serpentine River on the West Coast of NF.
Do anyone know who this John Duffney is? from what family? Also nice to know who this Jim White is as my maternal relatives are Whites formerly Leblancs & my paternal relatives are Duffney, Duffenais.
I'm assuming this article was featured in 1949-50 according to the subject matter in the article. These men look like they maybe in their
50's.
Thanks, Kathleen
