Subject: [ANNAPOLIS] Post-1901 Census -- Happy Thanksgiving!! A Great Legacy???
Date: Wed, 27 Nov 2002 22:57:30 -0500
To all:-
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate a special
family holiday tomorrow -- however, some of us observe
two Thanksgivings -- one Canadian, one American.
As families gather and remember other family members,
this is a great opportunity to obtain signatures to PROVE
that we, as Canadians and others with Canadian roots,
would like Prime Minister Jean Chretien to present all of
us with the Post-1901 census records as a lasting legacy.
Petitions continue to arrive daily and by Friday, I should
have sufficient to tabulate for Senator Lorna Milne.
As you prepare the turkey and pumpkin pies, prepare the
petitions for all family members to sign. Downloadable
from http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Petition.htm
Canadians and Snowbirds with Canadian permanent
addresses use the House of Commons and Senate petitions,
in either language.
Non-Canadians, from any country, use the Non-Resident.
Please do not mix American and Canadian addresses --
this has happened before and I have to make a choice and
mark off ones that were mixed in.
Sorry -- I tried to draw a turkey that would pass Rootsweb!!
A bit more practice -- might succeed by Christmas!!
Happy signing!!! Senator Lorna Milne and Murray Calder
need this type of PROOF!!
