"David Hazelton, the older of the two Nova Scotias believed to be brothers, was born about 1812 and was married probably in Ireland circa 1840, to Margaret Norris. They relocated about 1850 to Marshalltown, Digby Co. , in NS where they farmed the land. David died at the age of 43 on Aug. 6,1855 and was buried in the Trinity Anglican Cemetery
in Digby. His widow, Margaret was not enumerated in the 1861 Census of Digby, Although her sister, Elizabeth was listed on 30 March 1861, as widowed and the head of her household which included at least two of Margaret's children."

Mary was from County Tyrone, her daughter, Grace Darling Ellis married John Ross, whose father, Oliver Ross was born in Newton Stewart, County Tyrone. It could very well be they arrived in Nova Scotia on the same boat!
