Subject: [KINGS] George Jackson Jr Marries Susannah Palmeter

Thank you Joan. I had got as far as a cluster of George Jackson land
transactions when I got distracted... heh, heh, my usual state of mind :
) ...so returned there tonight to so some shovelling : ) ...and
looked at them again in light of Stephen's inspiration, which I have
paraphrased as follows...

"Now, Stephen Franey has another take on this subject of early Jackson
relationships. Stephen likes the idea that because Susannah and Gideon were
siblings, sister and brother, children of Charles Palmeter and Hannah
Huntley, that they married siblings, a George Jackson and a Susannah
Jackson. Stephen is an inspired researcher and has such a rich knowledge of
Kings County history that a person has to be on solid ground to take a
position that differs with his and I am on sand here, trying to shovel down
to some bedrock."

Now the first thing I wondered about was why there was a bunch of George
Jackson land transactions and then a single land transaction for George
Jackson Jr... but not just any land transaction... this was a land
transaction between George Jackson Jr and Gideon Palmeter in the year
1838... finally I had shovelled down to the bedrock that Stephen is standing
on... Gideon just happens to be the sister of Susannah Palmeter, who George
Jr is married to.

More shovelling... there are 3 more George Jackson Jr land transactions,
working back, in 1827, George Jr buys land from Joseph Jess... Allen, you
have been holding out on me : ) In 1823, George Jackson Jr offers a
mortgage to James Tillott and then more solid ground... in 1817, George
Jackson Jr and all sells some Grand Pre Dyke land to James Palmeter, a
brother of his wife, Susannah and the aforementioned Gideon. Thereafter,
George Jr's land transactons are in Cornwallis, ie, the 1823, the 1827 and
1838 transactions are all in Cornwallis.

So I now see the evidence for Stephen's thinking that Jackson siblings
married Palmeter siblings and wholeheartedly accept that conclusion, which
implies the father of George Jackson Jr and Susannah Jackson, the wife of
Gideon Palmeter is a George Jackson... which means Papa Jackson has now
become Papa George Jackson, the father of Susannah and George Jr, William J
and Stephen Jackson and how can you have a family if there is no mother...
big grin, of course, their mother is Jerusha A Kinsman.

There is no first marriage for Joseph Jackson Jr. Ruby Sophia is of course
the granddaughter of Jerusha A (Kinsman) Jackson and Ruby's sister is none
other than Mary Jane Jackson... where this whole thread began with Steve
putting her together with William Lawrence Strong.

Okay, let's check out all these George Jackson's in our database...
