I have been unable to find the grave of my great-grandfather, Alexander Anderson. His Ontario Government issued Death Certificate states he died at Chesley, Bruce Co. Ontario.
His wife Janet (Morton)(she remarried William Boyd) and is buried in Chesley under the name of Janet Boyd. His daughter Agnes Anderson, is listed on the same stone, as Janet Boyd,. A number of kind people have checked the cemetery--one even sent me pictures of Janet's stone, but there seems to be no trace of Alexander.
Alexander died 8 March 1874. He was originally from Scotland and rented (I believe) a farm not far from Chesley. In the National Archives there is the following: Chesley - Elderslie Twp. in Bruce County. Alex Anderson - on page 52 of Div. 3 - Tennants on Lot 18 -1 Conc.
Any suggestions?
