To Don Routley:
Yes there is a connection, but because cousins seem to have married cousins, I haven't quite figured it out. Here is what I have:
Thomas Geddes of Demfries married Catherine Derby (born 1834 to Andrew Derby and Ann O'Neal) 7 Mar 1856. She was the sister to John Derby, who is the father of Catherine Derby, who maried William Anderson. So, it seems Catherin Derby (m. to Wm Anderson) was a cousin to Andrew Geddes, who married Jessie Anderson (sister of William Anderson). Confusing, with the two Catherine Derbys.
William Anderson and Jessie Anderson, are the brother and sister of my grandfather, James, and all are children of the Alexander Anderson, whose final resting place I have been trying to find.
I also have a cousin, the granddaughter of William who would be interested in your offer.
