Hi Cheryl, I got an answer on this one, they never married
or if they did it was outside Quebec and Ontario. A lady
that works for Radio-Canada told me that she got Institut
Drouin (genealogical institute in the province of Québec) to
do a search for the marriage and they came back to her
stating that they didn't find the marraige but gave her the
parents as being Pierre-Célestin Durocher and Louise Marsan
for Célestin. They had Charles Gauvreau and Angèle Laporte
for Philomène. Through my researchs I had came to the same
conclusion but still have a doubt on it. Pierre-Célestin
and Louise Marsan had a son in 1834 in St-Esprit, Qc that
they named Célestin, in 1837 I found that Célestin died at
age 2-1/2 yrs old. The year 1834 fits perfectly with the
age given in the Ottawa census (37 yrs old in 1871), but the
fact that a Célestin died in 1837 makes me wonder if the
information is right or not.
Anyway, I want to Thank You VERY much for taking the time to
check it for me. Very nice of you.
