I'm SO jealous Jeannie! I'd love to see the Jeannie Johnston replica. You
probably would have gotten on at the time because things were so bad in
Ireland it couldn't have seemed taking a risk on Canada could be any worse.

Where are you Jeannie? There are a lot of Canadian genealogy sites out
there. Cyndi's list is a great place to start. http://www.cyndislist.com/
Just keep occasionally posting on and browsing the message boards etc and
you will find something eventually. I just got a note from someone I'd never
heard of who is my 3rd cousin, once removed. I've been working on that line
for over a year. She found me by browsing the lists. They tell you to "stay
within the lines" when doing genealogy. I'm not sure exactly what that means
but finding marriages and children of uncles and aunts and their descendants
has led me to a lot of information on my own line.
