Can anyone tell me if there is a John Barns in any EARLY census data in the
Northumberland Co. area. I have both John Barns Sr. and John Barns Jr. in
Haldimand Twp. in the 1821 census, and then they both disappear.

I'm trying to figure out where they went. Murray? Brighton? My ancestor,
John Barnes b. 1822 in Ontario married Matilda Phillips of Cramahe. I am
trying to figure out who John's parents were. Other related Barns are
Thomas b. about 1760 in US (wife was Chloe), Gilbert b. 1790 and possibly
another Gilbert who married Liddy Lawson June 1, 1830, and David b. 1793.
