What part of NY state are your Clarkes from, and where were they from
originally? I believe some of my Clarkes were in Bedford, Westchester
County, as early as the 1600's. I know my Mills were, some fleeing to Nova
Scotia as Loyalists during the American Revolution. That is where my
Clark(e) trail begins as far as my documentation, in Nova Scotia, then they
ended up in Elgin County, Ontario. My grandfather, John Aden Clark who was
born in Elgin, was living in Woodstock when he married in 1899.
Does any of this come close?
