Hi,
I just had another look at this family in Brock Township. There are death records for them (Thomas and Annie) and their ages match the 1871 census rather than the 1881 which seems to put them both about 10 years older than shown on their death records. I thought I would see if there were some birth registrations for this couple and there were 2 listed for George and Martha. They were declarations made many years later but brother, James, is living in Scott Township in 1932 when he makes the declaration of birth for brother, George, who was born Feb. 5, 1871. He declares that they were living in Brock Township at the time (according to his father's family records). The birth declaration for Martha Elizabeth, born July 19, 1876, was given by her sister Margaret Reid Gordon in 1946. She declares they were living at concession 8 in Scott Township at the time of Marth's birth. This seems to be the same family on the 1871, 81, and 1901 census that we discussed.
