Hello,

There were a few TEEPLE's in Wentworth County. For your Beverly lad, you
might want to start by looking at the extended family of Chester G. TEEPLE
who was a constable for the County of Wentworth in 1861. He worked out of
Rockton.

I also know that one of the TEEPLE's owned a small fire engine which
serviced the Beverly and Flamborough area in the 1860s. For example, in
early May 1863 the arrival of "Mr. Teeple's small fire engine" stopped the
spread of a fire from the Temperance Hall at the village of Mill Grove (it
was 2 words at that time) to the New Connexion Methodist Church. This
apparently prevented the burning of the entire village as it was a windy
day. The Temperance Hall was set alight by two boys. It seems there had
been a fight going on between two parties in the Division for some time.
Temperance apparently did not preclude arson <g>.

Below are some fellows for you to start with. They were all from the same
family. You might want to check out the 1861 and 1871 census films.

Hope that helps.
