* For non-members of the Orange Association it is worth pointing out
perhaps that Royal Black Preceptories are to the Orange Lodges what the
Shriners are to the Masons. Before you can be accepted into a RBP you
must have completed all 4 degrees in an Orange Lodge (just as before you
can be a Shriner you must have been a Mason ). Some say that the RBP
are the 'elite' of Orangeism. As well then, wherever you hear or see
of an RBP there has to be at least one Orange Lodge in the area usually
which acts as a feeder to it providing it with members.
