A more reasonably priced soft-cover edition was once available at Global Genealogy. (You might want to see if this option is still available.)

This book is well worth purchasing as it is filled with anecdotes and genealogical information on the early settlers of Argenteuil & Prescott counties. It is important to know that Cyrus Thomas included people in his book who agreed to purchase a copy ; so some families are prominently represented, whereas some (more frugal) families were not included.
