Hi again,

Thanks for all the replies re Vermilion. Having subscribed about
two hours ago I now have about twelve replies. It seems there are about
six or seven Vermil(l)ion places in both the USA and Canada (excluding
all the Vermilion bays, creeks etc.).

I think the one I have has only one 'l' so that limits it a
little. I also have Saskatchewan so will restrict research to there for
the moment.

I do not have a wife for Anthony DIXON but he had children Iola,
Myles, William and Arly, all born after about 1900.

Thanks again for all the replies. I have 1851 Census books for
most of Westmorland, England as well as Hearth Tax, Window Tax and
Protestation Returns. If I can help at this end please let me know.

Researching:
Westmorland - DIXON, BAILIFF, BARROW, MARTINDALE, SHAW, SMITH, STAINTON
Yorkshire - MORLEY, SYKES, WILKINSON, BARSTOW(BAIRSTOW), CROSSLEY
NORFOLK - MORLEY, NOBLE, PULFER
County Durham - HALL
Scotland - CAMPBELL, LITTLE
