Forwarded FYI. Now is the time to write our letters to MPs regarding
amendments that we view as essential to make Bill S-13 representative of
what genealogists and historians seek -- unrestricted access to all
Census records, now and in the future, on the same basis as 240 years of
Census records are already available.

Hey there everyone:

I just wanted to let you all know that S-13 was introduced in the House
of Commons yesterday where it passed first reading. This is a pro-forma
stage where there is no debate. As soon as I know when it will come up
for second reading, I will let you know.
