Hi all, I am looking for JOANNES BAPTISTA SPRENGERS who came over from
Belgium to the Miramichi area of N.B., Canada in 1815 or 1817 supposedly as
a stowaway. He changed his name to JOHN SPRINGER upon arriving and was 15
years of age. I have been checking Ships lists for the last five years with
no luck at all.



I realize that in the early 1800's a list of names was not required but does
anyone have any idea if a person can find anyone that was a stowaway? (That
is if he/she were caught!) Any help would be appreciated and thank you for
your time, Frank (Matchett) Springer.
