- Joseph and RoseAnna DesRoches homesteaded in Perigord. Wallace DesRoches (son) at the age of 12 immigrated from Minnesota, USA with his family. Homesteaded with his parents on ¼ section 36 38 12 W2 which he later bought and farmed with his family. Land Grant issued to Joseph DesRoches for SW 36 38 12 W2 February 28, 1921.
- Joseph and RoseAnna DesRoches were homesteaders in the Perigord district in 1910. Joseph died in 1939 and RoseAnna in 1956.
