Hello Myrna,
I wonder if we met you at the Quast Reunion? I remember, I think going to a hall in Spondin. My husband, Lorne Anderson, was adopted at birth and his birth father was William Quast. William Edmund Quast's father was Christian Quast. I think Edmund was his middle name. William's sister Diana was kind enough to invite us to the Reunion. We found the people there very kind and hospitable. Lorne has been trying to find out information about the Quast Family which is understandable as we all love to hear about our heritage and our family genealogy. There were two cousins, both Christian Quast and their families who immigrated over to Canada, I believe in 1910. The other family of Quasts, our Christian Quast's cousin, and we think Magdalene or Magdalena Bronch/Bronsch, Christian and Wilhemina seem to have lots of information or connections. But, we have been unable to find out anything about the history of these Quasts. William Quast was quite a bit older than the youngest!
sister, Diana (Quast) Sibley and she doesn't really remember much about the family.
William Quast died in 1986 in Vancouver B.C. before Lorne discovered his birth families. Any information or a contact name would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou in Advance,
Lorne and Judy Anderson
