Hi Listmates:

I've seen lots of comments today about "let it die" and the sooner the
better, and poorly worded...now my comments...

How would you have the new bill worded...it seems to me that 92 years to get
the census out is too long...and the extension to 120 years is ridiculous...no
one who was listed on the 1911 census is going to care what the census
says...they are either dead or too old to care anymore...

I've been waiting for this census to be released for several years so that I
can confirm a couple of issues and now will have to wait indefinitely...

The census in the US is released every ten years in the year ending with 2,
and just recently, in 2002, the 1930 census was released to the public. A lot
of people are finding themselves on the census and don't seem to really
care...to them it is in some cases amusing, but have not heard anyone say, "they
shouldn't have released the information"...

Just a bit of food for thought...
