James Custer England was born April 14, 1879...appears in 1881 census for Palmerston, Perth North, Ontario, Canada so may have been born there.
1901 finds his parents and siblings living in the city of Hamilton, Wentworth county, Ontario. James Custer Smith was with NWMP at this time.
