FARANO, EDITH born May 7, 1914 passed away January 13, 2003 at Abbotsford.
Edith is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years Mike Farano, daughter
Maureen and granddaughter Pat. Edith taught music, worked at the 4X Bakery,
served at the lunch counter at the C.P.R. station, sold tickets at the Pygmy
dances and volunteered as a hostess to the World War ll servicemen at Camp
Nanaimo. Her proudest achievement was assisting husband Mike on the 1958
Nanaimo Centennial Cake which was cut by Princess Margaret. Ediths
hardworking nature and cheery disposition will be remembered by those who
knew her. However, it was Mikes enduring love which sustained her. Services
were held on January 17 in Abbotsford.
