Keith Allcock 76 died at Collingwood G&M Hospital, peacefully on Friday October 6, 2005 after a hard battle with Leukemia. Keith Erroll Allcock was born in Clarksburg, Ont. A son of the late Myrtle and Melville Allcock. He was educated in Thornbury, Ont and later Toronto. At age 16 Keith returned to Thornbury and drove transport for his Uncle, Edward Teed, then Hewgill Transport Thornbury and Northern Transport Owen Sound Ont. He then went to work for United Co-Operatives Ont. For 25 years, first as the fuel truck driver, then the store clerk, store manager in Thornbury and Branch Manager in Meaford. He later became Petroleum Supervisor for the Dundalk district of UCO until he took early retirement. He then drove transport for Breadners of Meaford, Tri-Mack of Collingwood and finally Royal Tank Lines of Barrie until he retired at 68. After retirement he spent time on his home and garden and kept everything in top repair. He was a family man enjoying the large family dinners,!
barbecue and any kind of family get together. Winters were spent in Florida enjoying the outdoors and warm sun. Keith is survived by his wife, the former Marlene Cole and 4 sons, Terry (Diane Stringer), Bob (Jane Baulke) of Collingwood, Bill of Nottawa, and Patrick (Cindy Synott) of Collingwood, also 1 grandson, 6 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves 2 sisters, Joyce Inglis of New Castle, Melva Allcock of Brockville and a half brother Bill Mohrhardt of Brockville. The service was at the Thornbury Presbyterian Church with Reverend Buchanan. Internment was at the Thornbury, Clarksburg Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were 3 sons Terry, Bob and Patrick, grandson Christopher and 2 nephews, Garry and Michael Green of Brockville, Ont. Flower bearers were 6 grand daughters Lindsay, Brittany, Meghan, Shelby, Kari and Genna Allcock. - 10/28/2005 - ID7338909

SMITH, Madge Ruth (nee: Lanktree) 1926- 2005 Madge Ruth Smith was born in the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital January 15, 1926 and died in the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital October 25, 2005 from complications of diabetes. She was born the daughter of Leonard and Ruth Lanktree. She was predeceased by her father, mother, infant brother Edward and adopted brother Clinton. Madge taught school in Collingwood and surrounding area for 30 years. After finishing teaching she went to work at Harding Carpets for 4 years. Madge married John R. Smith in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on August 3, 1950. Together they raised 7 children: Michael of Shelburne, Clinton of Mississauga, Ruth Ann of Lindsay, Harry of Kingston, Catherine of Brampton, Thomas of Stayner and Carol Lynn of Portage Plains, MB.
