neighbours and friends. John graduated from Saint Mary's High School in
Calgary; worked for Imperial Oil in Norman Wells, NWT; was a salesman of
pharmaceuticals for CIBA in Saskatchewan; finished his working years as
Director of Men's Social Services and Waterston House for the Salvation Army
in Regina; and in retirement, devoted many years to Wascana Rehabilitation
Centre as a volunteer in the Veteran's Wing. Throughout his life he was
nearly unbeatable at Cribbage, could always swing a club to win a round of
golf, as a young man swam the length of the Shuswap Lakes, and canoed the
Fraser River System in BC. John will be remembered for his gentle teasing
humor, a fine story-telling ability, and his kindness. The family wishes to
thank those at the Pasqua Hospital who gave John professional and
compassionate care; and wish to say a heartfelt thank you to friends and
relatives for their e-mails, cards, prayers, visits and calls. Together you
gave John the strength and hope he needed to make every day a good day, and
to live his final time with dignity and happiness. Prayers will be held on
Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. J.
B. Okai on October 12, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter's R.C. Church. A
private interment will take place in Calgary at a later date. Flowers
gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation to the Lung
Association of Saskatchewan 1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK. S7H 0S5 or
to a charity of their choice. On-line condolences may be sent to

to call his home. Wascana Centre 2900 Wascana Drive, Regina, SK. S4P 3S7.

DAVID WILLIAM TAYLOR April 3rd 1925 - October 10th 2006 I miss you dad, it
seems like yesterday, when I sat beside you and held your hand, while you
quietly passed away. I miss you dad, morning talks, after dinner walks, and
your smile. I miss you dad, stories you told, about the days of old, and
your sense of humor. I miss you dad, the tears I still cry, each day that
goes by because, I miss you dad. Love Susan
