GROOT, Jack Cameron November 25, 1942 March 6, 2007 Jack Groot was
surrounded by loved ones when he passed away suddenly but peacefully on the
evening of Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the age of 64. It was a time that came
too soon for a man whose heart and spirit were too big for this world. He
was predeceased by his parents Eva and Simon and daughter Stacey Michelle,
and is survived by a loving family, wife Sandy, sons Jeff and Ben, and
brothers Jim (Ev), Don (Patricia) and Jerry (Gerri), and a sister Elizabeth
(Paul) as well as nieces, nephews and in-laws. Jack lived life his way a way
all of us can and should learn from: after 25 years, he retired from his
dental practice early and took full advantage of his newly found free time
to learn a countless number of skills, including how to (finally) make his
computer work properly; he would try to solve all the world's problems while
enjoying his daily coffee at Starbucks; he had an insatiable curiosity for
life and his love of learning had no bounds. Jack will be remembered as a
man who always put his family first and who made sure his family knew they
were the most loved people in this world. A celebration of his life will be
held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at First Memorial Funeral
Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers,
the family respectfully requests any donations be made in Jack's name to the
MS Society of Canada or a charity of their choice. Jack you will be missed
more than you could ever know. Keep the `usuals' coming. 348009
